Nowadays, we read many articles on the Antichrist. Many writers opine that the Antichrist is yet to rule this world and that national leaders of this world are on the look out for one world ruler with charisma who can bring peace to this strife-torn world and who can avert a possible third world war. Some writers are of the view that the Antichrist will be a Jew who would be accepted by the nation of Israel as the messiah. Some others hold the view that the Antichrist is the Pope of Rome. In this web-site, the author was inspired by the Holy Spirit to expose the Antichrist on the basis of the Scriptures in the prophetic book of Daniel, and the New Testament books of 2 Thessalonians, I and II John and Revelation.
He is described asman of sin and son of perdition (2 Thes.2:13); lawless one (2 Thes.2:8); beast (Rev.11:7). The prophetic book of Daniel also refers to him as beast. The word Antichrist is coined in I John 2:18, 22 and I John.4:3 and 2 John 7.
John writes that the Antichrist is one who denies the incarnation of Christ (I John 4:3 & 2 John 7). Paul in his epistle to Thessalonians reveals that he is a person (2 Thes.2:3-4). John writes that the spirit of the Antichrist "is now already in the world" (I John 4:3). It is thus clearly seen that the Antichrist is a spiritual person already in the world and that he is not a man in flesh and blood. Since he is a spiritual being, he is not visible to our eyes.
